The Annual fireworks show “Fountains Festival” will take place on September 15th 2007. It will take place as usually on Big Cascade in the lower park of Peterhof. The show starts at 21:30 and will last for about 45 minutes.

On one of our guides training sessions we decided to look at our city from another angle - and here you go - we got up to one of many roofs of the city that have free access. The view is not only different, it is marvelous - you have that strange mixed-up feeling of "god, it's scary - and - gosh, it's so cool up here".

Before the 1917 revolution, only Hermitage residents had access into the palace. Yes, it’s hard to imagine now, but the palace was a “residential building”. Like common people, its tenants used to spend time drinking tea, pensively looking out of windows, or sleeping in there. For some time after the insurrection, armed guards from the revolutionary forces were the only people the palace saw in its rooms. After all those events, the museum began to hear light footsteps rustling on its floors. Those were not phantoms. Those were recollections.
